Without biocide treatment, moss typically returns within 12–18 months. With the 5-year biocide application used across our partner network, regrowth is suppressed for the full warranty period and usually beyond. Shaded roofs benefit most from the biocide layer.
February to May (moss at peak growth, dry weather returning) and September to November (clear before winter freeze-thaw) are the strongest windows. Avoid frosty mornings — the biocide doesn't bond below 4°C. Summer works but the biocide may need slightly more product to stay effective.
