What Affects the Price?

Five factors move pricing within those ranges:

• Roof size — the biggest single factor. We measure from satellite imagery (Google Earth) before quoting.
• Moss density — a light algae stain is much faster to treat than 5cm of compacted moss. Heavy moss adds £100–£300.
• Tile type — concrete tiles are quickest; slate and clay need a gentler hand; cedar shingles need specialist biocide.
• Access — if we can reach the roof from the lawn, no problem. Properties with locked rear access or restricted side passages can add £50–£100.
• Number of valleys / dormers / chimneys — each one slows us down. Older period properties often have more.

How Quotes Work

Three steps to a fixed price:

1. Send photos — 3–5 photos of the roof (a wide shot from the garden + one or two close-ups) via WhatsApp, email, or our contact form
2. We measure and price — usually within 24 hours, sometimes the same day
3. Fixed quote in writing — valid for 60 days, locked in. We never add “extras” on the day
