Hampshire Roof Care uses a soft wash system — low-pressure application of biocide cleaners that kill the spores at the root, then a soft rinse to remove the dead growth. We do not use high-pressure jet washers, because they strip the protective glaze off concrete tiles and crack ridge mortar.

Our Roof Cleaning Process

• Manual moss scrape — heavy moss is removed by hand using soft plastic scrapers, not metal.
• Biocide application — a long-dwell algaecide is sprayed across the entire roof surface.
• Gentle soft wash rinse — pressure no higher than a garden hose, applied evenly across all tiles.
• Gutter clear — debris washed into the gutters is cleared the same day at no extra cost.
• Final treatment — a 5-year biocide is applied to prevent regrowth.
